I am deep in thought;
As if thought, like water, had depth.
But my thoughts also have breadth
As if it was possible to be lost in them,
To feel like a buoy lost in the ocean,
Like a gull floating, above the turmoil, truly alone.
My thoughts are not of nature dark,
They are merely exhausting me,
Like treading water at sea,
Eventually I will drown.
